ABOUT PARISIMA
Parisima Taeb is an Iranian American citizen, who came to the United States at a very young age. She is an alumna of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and received all of her education from Florida's public school system. As a graduate of Stoneman Douglas High School , the recent shooting massacre at her alma mater was extremely painful for her as this was the town she grew up in, and it was the teachers in her high school who played such an important role in helping her achieve her goals today.
Parisima continued her education at University of Florida, where she graduated with highest honors, with a bachelor in zoology. She afterwards fulfilled her life-long passion of becoming a physician, and she received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. After finishing her internal medicine residency from Lehigh Valley Hospital of Pennsylvania, she became a hospitalist and moved to Southwest Florida. She is board certified in internal medicine and has clinical privileges in the Lee Health System Hospitals. She currently specializes in obesity medicine and has her own private clinic in Fort Myers.
Her passion in life is to help, heal, and educate people. Parisima is a mother, physician, small business owner, and she enjoys doing humanitarian work for her community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Children's Network of Southwest Florida, she is a member of Opioid task force of Fort Myers, member of American Society of Addiction Medicine, and member of Obesity Medicine Association. She is part of a physician for humanity group, which helps organize relief efforts for those suffering from war or natural disasters. She organized relief efforts for the hurricanes that struck the states, with the help of her community. At her clinic, she offers low-cost medical services or sliding scale services based on a patient's income, because her passion is to help people become healthier.
After the 2016 elections, Parisima became extremely interested in politics because of the injustice on immigrants, muslims, and refugees. It's because of the injustice and heartless acts of our current administration that she decided to run for office.
For Parisima Taeb, it is her ethical duty to run for office to help strengthen her community and to represent them and be their voice.
She will inform, educate, and empower the people of her community to work together to achieve the mission of building a safer and stronger community.
