While the President and Governor claim credit for “economic success”, the majority of Floridians have not seen any real improvement.  Wages are stagnant and many Floridians are living paycheck-to-paycheck, often one illness or unexpected expense away from serious financial trouble.  As your representative, I will fight for working people and I will increase the minimum wage so that those who are employed full-time do not depend on public assistance to survive.  I will also implement business-friendly policies that will allow employers to pay their workers a living wage.  Simply advertising a platform of “low taxes” does not mean a business friendly environment – fostering an environment where employees have their basic needs met, are well-educated in their field, and winners & losers are not picked by how much they donate to politicians is how you build a strong and vibrant economy for the future.
